Solidwork: Extruding from 2D to 3D

In Solidwork, we can use the basic features and other features by using the Extrude from 2D to 3D toolbar with partial sketch.Extruded Boss / Base on the Features toolbar can be made if the sketches in a state of complete (closed).Extrude these steps:1. Edit a sketch.Select the sketch entity is required to feature.No need to click on all full sketch, quite arbitrary sketch.Hold Ctrl and select the point (in the sketch) to be the starting point for extrusion.NOTE: If you do not choose a starting point, or if you select a point in the edited sketch, from sketch plane is considered as a starting point.

2. Click Extrude the 2D to 3D toolbar, or click Tools, Sketch Tools, 2D to 3D, Extrude, and click on the graphic to establish the direction of extrusion.Base-Extrude Property Manager will appear.Edit Property at Base Extrude PropertyManager.Click one of the tools:Extruded Boss / Base on the Features toolbar, or click Insert, Boss / Base, Extrude Extruded Boss / Base on the Features toolbar, or click Insert, Boss / Base, Extrude Extruded Cut on the Features toolbar, or click Insert, Cut, Extrude Extruded Cut on the Features toolbar, or click Insert, Cut, ExtrudeNOTE: For the 2D to 3D conversion, we can determine the depth of extrusion by selecting a sketch entity.Click the Depth and select an entity in a sketch.Click OK
