RIB FEATURES SOLIDWORKS
Now we will learn a simple how to use the features of RIB.
Rib in SolidWorks is a special type of feature extrude the sketch made of the contour is open or closed.
Rib add material with a certain thickness in a particular direction between the contours and existing parts.
We can make a sketch Rib use single or double.
We can also create a Rib feature with a draft, or select a contour reference to the draft.

The Rib PropertyManager Appears When You create a new rib feature, or
Pls you edit an existing rib feature. The PropertyManager controls
the following properties:
Parameters
Thickness. Adds thickness to the selected side of the sketch. Select
one of the following:
First Side. Adds the material only to one side of the sketch.
Both Sides. Adds material equally to both sides of the sketch.
Second Side. Material adds only to the other side of the sketch.
Steps that must be done to make the Rib
Make a sketch of the contour is used as a feature on the plane Rib
Intersects the part, or in parallel or at an angle of existing plane
Rib-click on the Features toolbar, or click Insert, Features, Rib.
Set PropertyManager options.
When finished, click OK.
